The week that was (19th - 24th Feb)

If you follow me on social media, you would have noticed my never ending Instastories, snapchats and check-ins, because I had a super busy week. It was so busy that I couldn't even make it to some events. But I've tried to cover as much as possible below. For pictures an videos head on to my Facebook or Instagram page.


Beauty

Lush Showcased of their new Knot-Wraps designed in Lebanon at the city walk outlet last week. The new designs come from an art competition held in Lebanon. These knot wraps are environmentally friendly and can be purchased or AED 49. They can be used as scarfs, to wrap gifts or just to carry things. The two winning art works along with the others are on display at the city walk store for another week, so have a look.
Tweezerman - According to their International Trainer, Melissa Shurina, more full, natural-looking brows are making a come back. This look might be hard to achieve if your brows have been over-plucked.  To the rescue comes the Tweezerman Eyenhance Brow definer and highlighter duo which helps in filling in any gaps in your brows giving it a fuller look.
Fashion & Accessories
Sospiro, the renowned brand of fragrances showcased its first collections of precious, sophisticated, elegant and refined Swiss Made watches for Him and Her. The names of the ranges are of Italian inspiration: Aria, Marchesa, Minuetto, Regina, Puro, Nuvola, Impero and Tifone all recall the appeal and allure of Italian art and culture, with particular reference to classical music and opera.

Fashion Star - Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI) announced the return of their popular reality show, ‘Fashion Star’, on their only English channel, Dubai One. The show caters to the Arab elite talent in fashion design, featuring international designer Reem Acra; international fashion model, Hanaa Ben Abdesslem; and Ramzi Tabiat, creative director for the renowned retail brand Al Ostoura, as well as television host Leila Ben Khalifa.

Ban.do - With summer just around the corner, ban.do launched its new range of inflatable pool floats, work out mats, glass water bottles and more, which are ideal for making the most out of the season. The range also includes a variety of totes, gym bags and phone covers.

Anya Hindmarch showcases Autumn Winter 2017 at London Fashion Week. Her collection explores the contrast between the romanticised notions of winter and wanderlust and the darker motifs found in Old Norse folklore through modern interpretations of traditional leather craft techniques, including Scandinavian Kurbits and complex hand-woven leatherwork.

Choithrams, concluded the second year of its alliance with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) with a generous donation of over AED 1.3 million to deliver nutritious school meals to children in need in the Middle East and West Africa.

Choithrams also started its Canadian goodness festival and is offering discounts on a number of Canadian products, check out their website or facebook page for more details.
Burger & Lobster celebrated their first Year Anniversary in Dubai! Located behind DIFC this place is a fun place to grab a drink along with some burger (only beef) and lobsters after work.

Art & Entertainment
The Worthy released this weekend which is first Arabic movie to be released in 4Dx. It's one of those end of the world kind of movies, so if you are into that stuff make sure you catch a show it 4Dx with all the moving seats, water sprays and more.
The Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre (DUCTAC) is currently exhibiting “Is Old Gold?” art exhibition in the Gallery of Light till April 7th.
