Travel - Düsseldorf

Nicky the explorer (Komal's Korner's resident travel correspondent) recently visited the city of Düsseldorf loacted in western Germany. It is a city with has history with churches dating back to the 13th century and is also boutique lined streets for the fashion conscious. 
Nicky visited Düsseldorf at one of the best times, during the annual Christmas market. So if you find yourself in Düsseldorf for a weekend during this time of the year make sure you grab a pretzel and try out some hot dogs while enjoying the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

Food Review - Circle Café

Circle Café has proudly joined the re-invention club and launched a new menu recently and I'm going to give you a low down on how well they scored. Tucked away into the quite Business Bay square in downtown Dubai, Circle Café is a cosy hidden gem. The simple and elegant interiors give a very relaxed home feel which makes the food more enjoyable. Let's get down to business then..First up were the Bagel chips. As the name suggests they were thinly sliced baked Bagel chips served with a Tarama Truffle dip. From the first bite I knew this dish was going to be in my top three for the night. They were so crisp and light that I couldn't stop munching. The zatar type seasoning gave it the perfect amount of subtle flavour. For those with a preference for stronger taste, the dipping sauce gives it a unexpected punch which grows on you with every bite. Next was the Whole Wheat Salmon Pasta followed by the Circle Greek Salad, both of which are healthy options but low on the seas

Food Review - Carluccio's and Bloomsbury Review

 The Dubai Mall has numerous hidden gems and every time I go there I stumble upon something new. A little pop up shop or cafe situated in some corner of the mall can always surprise. The places I tried this week aren't very hidden, but this was the first time I tried them. I did come across a new home store where I've never been before, but today we'll stick to Carluccio's and Bloomsbury. Carluccio's as the name suggest is Italian. You have two seating options, one facing the fountain and the other facing the mall (see image below). The service was friendly and quick considering the fact that it was a Thursday. We ordered two pizzas, a pasta and a salad. The margarita was thin crust, soft, chewy and pretty good. They did not have any options in chicken pizza's so we ordered for grilled chicken topping with our pizza., the result chicken strips on top of the same Margarita pizza. It din't taste bad, cause it still taste the same with just chicken on to
