The Dome Box - A New Sensory Experience

I recently visited the The Dome Box, located at BoxPark in Dubai for a screening and the experience was mind blowing! Lying down on comfy bean bags I actually felt like I was inside the movie. Why you ask? Because of the state-of-the-art 360-degree screen that intersperses exceptional audio-visual technology, making visitors feel centre-stage and immersing them in the action as it unfolds. The Dome Box is not just for adults, rather the entire family. They screens four family-friendly animated movies that focus on nature, science and the environment. 

One of the things that I loved about The Dome Box were these doors (featured below) leading to the theater. They are meant to represent a time machine which can lead you into a different time.

Featured above is the drink and snacks bar, which give the place more of a luxurious feeling than an ordinary cinema hall. 
Want to know more? The Dome Box is open from 12 noon until 10pm from Sunday to Thursday, and from 12 noon until midnight on Friday and Saturday as well as on public holidays. Tickets are offered in the form of movie packages. Visitors can choose between a two-movie package for AED 45 and a four-movie package for AED 75. Tickets can be purchased on www.thedomeboxdubai.ae or at the box office at The Dome Box.  

The Dome Box is an experience I definitely recommend. So gather the family and head on.

Food Review - Circle Café

Circle Café has proudly joined the re-invention club and launched a new menu recently and I'm going to give you a low down on how well they scored. Tucked away into the quite Business Bay square in downtown Dubai, Circle Café is a cosy hidden gem. The simple and elegant interiors give a very relaxed home feel which makes the food more enjoyable. Let's get down to business then..First up were the Bagel chips. As the name suggests they were thinly sliced baked Bagel chips served with a Tarama Truffle dip. From the first bite I knew this dish was going to be in my top three for the night. They were so crisp and light that I couldn't stop munching. The zatar type seasoning gave it the perfect amount of subtle flavour. For those with a preference for stronger taste, the dipping sauce gives it a unexpected punch which grows on you with every bite. Food Review - Carluccio's and Bloomsbury Review

 The Dubai Mall has numerous hidden gems and every time I go there I stumble upon something new. A little pop up shop or cafe situated in some corner of the mall can always surprise. The places I tried this week aren't very hidden, but this was the first time I tried them. I did come across a new home store where I've never been before, but today we'll stick to Carluccio's and Bloomsbury. Carluccio's as the name suggest is Italian. You have two seating options, one facing the fountain and the other facing the mall (see image below). The service was friendly and quick considering the fact that it was a Thursday. We ordered two pizzas, a pasta and a salad. The margarita was thin crust, soft, chewy and pretty good. They did not have any options in chicken pizza's so we ordered for grilled chicken topping with our pizza., the result chicken strips on top of the same Margarita pizza.
