Fashion Forward Dubai (FFWD), the region's definitive fashion platform's S/S '16 event will be taking place from October 22nd-25th at Madinat Jumeirah. The twice-annual event comprises of several elements like catwalk shows and presentations by the region's best couture, ready to wear designers, the `d3 Fashion Talks' to generate debate and discussion on issues facing the region's fashion industry and features iconic names from the international fashion industry.

In other FFWD news, Galeries Lafayette have selected seven labels showcased at FFWD to be stocked in store throughout October, as part of the first-ever dedicated FFWD Pop Up Store. Selected looks from Autumn/Winter ‘15 collections, presented at FFWD Season Five, will be on sale till October 27th, at Galeries Lafayette, The Dubai Mall.

The labels available at the FFWD Pop Up Store are, Aiisha Ramadan, Arwa Al Banawi, Bouguessa, Daneh, Lama Jouni, La Terre Est Folle and Said Mahrouf 

The FFWD Pop Up Store is located in the Womenswear Department, First Floor, Galeries Lafayette, The Dubai Mall, and will be open to shoppers  27th October 2015.

Food Review - Circle Café

Circle Café has proudly joined the re-invention club and launched a new menu recently and I'm going to give you a low down on how well they scored. Tucked away into the quite Business Bay square in downtown Dubai, Circle Café is a cosy hidden gem. The simple and elegant interiors give a very relaxed home feel which makes the food more enjoyable. Let's get down to business then..First up were the Bagel chips. As the name suggests they were thinly sliced baked Bagel chips served with a Tarama Truffle dip. From the first bite I knew this dish was going to be in my top three for the night. They were so crisp and light that I couldn't stop munching. The zatar type seasoning gave it the perfect amount of subtle flavour. For those with a preference for stronger taste, the dipping sauce gives it a unexpected punch which grows on you with every bite. Food Review - Carluccio's and Bloomsbury Review

 The Dubai Mall has numerous hidden gems and every time I go there I stumble upon something new. A little pop up shop or cafe situated in some corner of the mall can always surprise. The places I tried this week aren't very hidden, but this was the first time I tried them. I did come across a new home store where I've never been before, but today we'll stick to Carluccio's and Bloomsbury. Carluccio's as the name suggest is Italian. You have two seating options, one facing the fountain and the other facing the mall (see image below). The service was friendly and quick considering the fact that it was a Thursday. We ordered two pizzas, a pasta and a salad. The margarita was thin crust, soft, chewy and pretty good. They did not have any options in chicken pizza's so we ordered for grilled chicken topping with our pizza., the result chicken strips on top of the same Margarita pizza. It din't taste bad, cause it still taste the same with just chicken on to
