Barbie dons Haute Couture in Dubai

Almost every girl loves barbie and we all love fashion, when you combine both you have the cutest fashionable look, which is on display at the Mall of the Emirates (MOE) right now!

MOE has unveiled the first-ever haute couture Barbie® Collector exhibition in the region, as  the iconic doll whose style has inspired and entertained generations of young girls, will be taking centre stage in a chic Parisian setting till September 8.

The display, located at the Central Galleria, is debuting a series of 24 limited-edition Barbie® dolls, each with stunning hand-crafted designer outfits, inspired by signature looks from the catwalk shows, from a collection which has been developed over 50 years.

The Barbie® Collector exhibition sees the legend in replica outfits of high-end fashion houses such as Hervé Léger, Christian Dior, Oscar de la Renta, Monique Lhuillier, Versace, Zuhair Murad, Christian Louboutin, and many more.

On September 9-14, little ones can experience the glamorous world of the modern-day rock star with Barbie® Rock’n Royals. Young girls can experiment with sparkle as they get glammed up with nail art at the Barbie Hand Spa, and have fun with temporary Barbie® motif tattoos. A great outing for the younger generation of Barbie® fans, groups of girlie friends can pretend to be a pop star getting ready for a stage show.

Bhindi 'Jaliwi' (Burnt okra)

Bhendi or as some may not it as lady finger or okra is a green veggie that is very common to Indian cooking and there are easily a 100 ways of cooking it. I choose a crowd favourite Crispy fried bhindi. Essentially what you have to do here is 1. fry the bhendi 2. take it out of the oil and season with some amaing Indian spices What I did the first time... Burnt bhindi 1. cut the bhindi into small pieces after washing 2. heated the oil and just dropped in the bhindi  3. I wanted it crispy so I let it cook, just when it turned dark green I went into to catch a glimpse of the tv leaving it on high flame. When I returned the bhendi was pretty charred to perfection. Mistake one - when you add bhindi into the hot oil it bubbles up and lot throwing splatter of hot oil all around. Food Review - Circle Café

Circle Café has proudly joined the re-invention club and launched a new menu recently and I'm going to give you a low down on how well they scored. Tucked away into the quite Business Bay square in downtown Dubai, Circle Café is a cosy hidden gem. The simple and elegant interiors give a very relaxed home feel which makes the food more enjoyable. Let's get down to business then..First up were the Bagel chips. As the name suggests they were thinly sliced baked Bagel chips served with a Tarama Truffle dip. From the first bite I knew this dish was going to be in my top three for the night. They were so crisp and light that I couldn't stop munching. The zatar type seasoning gave it the perfect amount of subtle flavour. For those with a preference for stronger taste, the dipping sauce gives it a unexpected punch which grows on you with every bite. Next was the Whole Wheat Salmon Pasta followed by the Circle Greek Salad, both of which are healthy options but low on the seas
