A blogger 'Burger - Off' at Speakeasy

Speakeasy, an American themed bar located in Ramada Plaza JBR aims to reflect in the traditions of speakeasies from the prohibition era of 1920's, it offers a wide selection of drinks, burgers, grills and entertainment including theme nights, DJ, jukebox, and a darts area. So does it live up to everything it claims?
The Answer is yes! I was recently invited to a 'Bloggers Burger off' (yup I just made that up!), where were had to fight it out on the burger table and come up with our very own burger with a mix bag of ingredients. I did not win the burger off, but my friend did, and that's reason enough to celebrate, which I did by eating my own marvelous creations. I chose a veggie patty and topped it up with a combination of blue cheese and thin apple shavings, along with some olives, cheddar cheese, some chilly and mayo. The chef complimented my blue cheese and apple pairing, I clearly that as a win!
Now coming down to the place it self, Speakeasy has an amazing vibe. We did played round of darts and I was number three on the leader (and yes there were more than four people, just saying). The game of darts, mocktails and finger food set the perfect mood for the rest of the evening (which included the burger off). The mozzarella cheese sticks were amazing and I could not stop eating them. I can't remember the name of my pink mocktail, but you must try it! The music for the evening was contemporary, the type that is easy and fun to sing along.

Speakeasy offer a number of salads as healthy alternatives. I also tasted five diffrent types of fries, from sweet potato, to skinny and onion fries, which were great with our burgers. From pub grub to dinner options this place has a vast menu to choose from.
If you like laid back places, just want to grab an after work drink, challenge your friends to darts, or are a good ol' foodie like me then Speakeasy is the place you have to try out.
