Product Reviews - Facial Cleansers/Face wash

This week I'm doing a review of facial cleansers/ face wash easily available at most supermarkets. I'll add more and more as I try them out so make sure you keep coming back.

Dove Beauty Moisture Conditioning Facial Cleanser


I have actually started to love this product. It's just soo creamy and forms an amazing lather. This one is recommended for normal to dry skin. For people with oily skin this might not do a good job because it's a conditioning face wash. In short its adds moisture to the skin making it a good choice for people dry skin.



Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash 
This is recommended for people with acne prone skin. If you are looking for a bit more natural/ayurvedic option then this is a good bet. If you have oily skin this is a good option since it is water based. I find such washes refreshing in the summers, when our skin tends to be on the oily side, especially if you stay in humid cities.



Olay Natural White Face Wash



Similar to Dove, Olay is a creamy cleasing facewash. It has mulberry extracts and is recommended for all skin types, but I would avoid this if I had oily skin. I personally did not like it as much. It lacks that refreshing after wash feeling that a good face cleansers is supposed to give.

    Hi Komal, thank you for this review. I have had oily skin and never faced many dry skin issues. But since I've relocated to another country, the water coupled with the environment has resulted in dry skin which my previous creams aren't able to fix. Any recommendations ?

Food Review - Circle Café

Circle Café has proudly joined the re-invention club and launched a new menu recently and I'm going to give you a low down on how well they scored. Tucked away into the quite Business Bay square in downtown Dubai, Circle Café is a cosy hidden gem. The simple and elegant interiors give a very relaxed home feel which makes the food more enjoyable. Let's get down to business then..First up were the Bagel chips. As the name suggests they were thinly sliced baked Bagel chips served with a Tarama Truffle dip. From the first bite I knew this dish was going to be in my top three for the night. They were so crisp and light that I couldn't stop munching. The zatar type seasoning gave it the perfect amount of subtle flavour. For those with a preference for stronger taste, the dipping sauce gives it a unexpected punch which grows on you with every bite. Food Review - Carluccio's and Bloomsbury Review

 The Dubai Mall has numerous hidden gems and every time I go there I stumble upon something new. A little pop up shop or cafe situated in some corner of the mall can always surprise. The places I tried this week aren't very hidden, but this was the first time I tried them. I did come across a new home store where I've never been before, but today we'll stick to Carluccio's and Bloomsbury. Carluccio's as the name suggest is Italian. You have two seating options, one facing the fountain and the other facing the mall (see image below). The service was friendly and quick considering the fact that it was a Thursday. We ordered two pizzas, a pasta and a salad. The margarita was thin crust, soft, chewy and pretty good. They did not have any options in chicken pizza's so we ordered for grilled chicken topping with our pizza., the result chicken strips on top of the same Margarita pizza.
