Get Dipping with the Melting pot at Boxpark in Dubai. This new fondue place is perfect for cheese and chocolate lovers. I tried the classic alpine Swiss fondue which is all cheese and perfect for those who love the mild flavour of cheese. But if you like a little more flavour or punch in your fondue try the spinach artichoke or fiesta flavour. The cheese fondues are accompanied with fruits, veggies, breads and even nachos. Lemongrass orange sparkler and pina colada were the two  drinks I tasted at this special blogger event, both of which were up to my expectations (which were high).






I tried two of the salads, one with strawberries and one without. And I loved them! Both of them shared a similar taste of salad leaves, thousand island dressing and nuts, with a few exceptions here and there.


I ended my evening on a sweet note ( as always). For the dessert I picked dark chocolate fondue which was very strong, not for the faint milk chocolate lovers. Normally when it comes to fondue people pay attention to the dip than the accompaniments especially when it comes to chocolate since it can mask the flavour of most other things. But the pound cakes and brownies served with it were so moist and tasty, that I did not feel the need for double dipping.

Food Review - Circle Café

Circle Café has proudly joined the re-invention club and launched a new menu recently and I'm going to give you a low down on how well they scored. Tucked away into the quite Business Bay square in downtown Dubai, Circle Café is a cosy hidden gem. The simple and elegant interiors give a very relaxed home feel which makes the food more enjoyable. Let's get down to business then..First up were the Bagel chips. As the name suggests they were thinly sliced baked Bagel chips served with a Tarama Truffle dip. From the first bite I knew this dish was going to be in my top three for the night. They were so crisp and light that I couldn't stop munching. The zatar type seasoning gave it the perfect amount of subtle flavour. For those with a preference for stronger taste, the dipping sauce gives it a unexpected punch which grows on you with every bite. Food Review - Carluccio's and Bloomsbury Review

 The Dubai Mall has numerous hidden gems and every time I go there I stumble upon something new. A little pop up shop or cafe situated in some corner of the mall can always surprise. The places I tried this week aren't very hidden, but this was the first time I tried them. I did come across a new home store where I've never been before, but today we'll stick to Carluccio's and Bloomsbury. Carluccio's as the name suggest is Italian. You have two seating options, one facing the fountain and the other facing the mall (see image below). The service was friendly and quick considering the fact that it was a Thursday. We ordered two pizzas, a pasta and a salad. The margarita was thin crust, soft, chewy and pretty good. They did not have any options in chicken pizza's so we ordered for grilled chicken topping with our pizza., the result chicken strips on top of the same Margarita pizza.
