Do something new this week!

One thing you should do this week is give you body some attention, after all what is wealth without health. To help in this cause NMC is celebrating World Heart Day with a free check up (Blood Pressue - Glucose - Cholesterol - Body Mass Index) till the 29th of September. 3pm - 9pm. The process takes about five minutes and can be availed at NMC hospitals in Al Ain, Dubai, Abu Dhani and Sharjah.




Once you have your check up and are in the pink of health you can reward yourself a little by heading to Candylicious. Their store at The Dubai Mall is celebrating its 4th anniversary with a bang. Till the 28th of September, 2 pm - 10 pm. The celebrations include games, activities and giveaways. Today's special includes a four story cupcake to start of the celebrations and visitors can enjoy a cupcake on the house. 


Moral of this story: Your health is the most important, so give yourself a break!

Food Review - Circle Café

Circle Café has proudly joined the re-invention club and launched a new menu recently and I'm going to give you a low down on how well they scored. Tucked away into the quite Business Bay square in downtown Dubai, Circle Café is a cosy hidden gem. The simple and elegant interiors give a very relaxed home feel which makes the food more enjoyable. Let's get down to business then..First up were the Bagel chips. As the name suggests they were thinly sliced baked Bagel chips served with a Tarama Truffle dip. From the first bite I knew this dish was going to be in my top three for the night. They were so crisp and light that I couldn't stop munching. The zatar type seasoning gave it the perfect amount of subtle flavour. For those with a preference for stronger taste, the dipping sauce gives it a unexpected punch which grows on you with every bite. Food Review - Carluccio's and Bloomsbury Review

 The Dubai Mall has numerous hidden gems and every time I go there I stumble upon something new. A little pop up shop or cafe situated in some corner of the mall can always surprise. The places I tried this week aren't very hidden, but this was the first time I tried them. I did come across a new home store where I've never been before, but today we'll stick to Carluccio's and Bloomsbury. Carluccio's as the name suggest is Italian. You have two seating options, one facing the fountain and the other facing the mall (see image below). The service was friendly and quick considering the fact that it was a Thursday. We ordered two pizzas, a pasta and a salad. The margarita was thin crust, soft, chewy and pretty good. They did not have any options in chicken pizza's so we ordered for grilled chicken topping with our pizza., the result chicken strips on top of the same Margarita pizza.
